Liew Wan Lin

Liew Wan Lin is a Partner in the Technology & Corporate Intellectual Property Practice at Allen & Gledhill, specialising in intellectual property law, technology law, and data protection and privacy. She advises clients on a wide range of commercial matters, including drafting and reviewing IT contracts, advising on e‑commerce projects, data protection laws, and intellectual property‑related issues for regional corporate M&A deals, joint ventures, and collaboration agreements.

Wan Lin has particular experience in consumer markets, including drafting and negotiating agreements relating to franchising, licensing, branding, distributorships, and hotels and hospitality. She has advised Chandra Asri and Glencore on the acquisition of Shell's integrated refining and chemical assets in Singapore, including technology transition matters; DBS Bank on its acquisition of Citigroup's consumer banking business in Taiwan, including integration of technology and data platforms; StarHub on its acquisition of a majority interest in MyRepublic Broadband; The Ascott Limited on its acquisition of Oakwood Worldwide, including the Oakwood brand and global operating platform; and DBS Bank on setting up DBS Digital Exchange, Singapore's first security token and digital payment token exchange. She also advised The Association of Banks in Singapore on the nationwide eGIRO platform and a regional mobile wallet provider on a cross‑border interoperable payment platform.

Wan Lin holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the London School of Economics and Political Science and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2015.

She was the winner of the Lexology Client Choice Award 2024 in the "Intellectual Property – Trademarks" category and has been noted in The Legal 500 as "extremely knowledgeable and tech‑savvy" and a "great adviser".
