Loh Tian Kai

Loh Tian Kai is a Director in the Dispute Resolution practice at Drew & Napier, specializing in Dispute Resolution. He has experience in arbitration under major arbitral institutions including SIAC, ICC, HKIAC, AAA-ICDR, and LMAA, as well as in litigation across various levels of the Singapore courts.

Tian Kai represents and advises clients across a broad range of industries, including construction and engineering, equity and trusts, commodities, and financing and investment disputes. He has worked on complex and cross‑border disputes alongside foreign counsel, experts, and other professionals. Notable matters include representing multiple sellers in an SIAC arbitration over a post‑M&A dispute concerning warranties and earn‑out obligations; representing a holding company with substantial mining interests in Asia in an ICC arbitration against its investor for breaches of an investment agreement; acting for an international contractor against a local subcontractor in relation to works for a power plant in East Asia; and successfully obtaining an award for an owner of telecommunications infrastructure against a major telecommunications operator in a Southeast Asian country. He also acted for a high‑net‑worth individual on a complex breach of trust claim over disputed assets valued between US$600‑800 million with cross‑border aspects, and advised the Prosafe group in its US$1.1 billion debt restructuring under Singapore Court supervision.

Tian Kai holds an LL.B (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (2016) and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2017. He is also a Solicitor of England and Wales (2025). Prior to joining Drew & Napier, he practised in the London and Singapore offices of a magic circle law firm.
