Reuben Peter

Reuben Peter is a Partner in Dentons Rodyk's Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group and Deputy Head of the Construction practice, specialising in Dispute Resolution. He was appointed as an Accredited Specialist in Building and Construction Law by the Singapore Academy of Law in 2023 and is recognised by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific as a Litigation Star in Construction (2026).

Reuben has a broad-based practice in commercial litigation and international arbitration, with a particular focus on construction and trust disputes. He has been involved in contentious work relating to petrochemical plants, desalination and water treatment facilities, pipelines, commercial buildings, MRT projects, data centres, and dredging and land reclamation projects. He is familiar with SIA, REDAS, PSSCOC and FIDIC standard form contracts, and frequently argues disputes concerning EPC and D&B contracts. He appears as lead counsel before the Supreme Court, in arbitrations under various institutions, and in adjudications under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act. He also has particular expertise in delay-related construction claims and urgent injunctive relief, including Anton Piller orders and restraining calls on performance bonds.

Reuben read law at the University of Cambridge, graduating with a B.A. in Law in 2012. He was appointed as young amicus curiae in a landmark three-Judge High Court panel chaired by the Chief Justice that rendered a decision on sentencing principles under the Workplace Safety and Health Act.
