Ryan Teo

Ryan Teo is a Senior Associate in Dentons Rodyk's Intellectual Property and Technology Practice Group, focusing on intellectual property, data privacy and protection, and technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) law.

He advises on the protection, management and commercialisation of intellectual property rights, and negotiates commercial transactions related to telecommunications and information technology. He has managed global trademark portfolios, drafted complex cross-border franchising, licensing and distribution agreements, and advised on IP prosecution and commercialisation strategy. Notable contentious work includes successfully defending a Singapore company before the IPOS Registrar against a trademark opposition brought by a global cosmetic retailer (Cosmetic Warriors Limited v Genpulse Pte Ltd), and assisting in defending SharkNinja against a patent infringement suit commenced by Dyson in the Singapore High Court. He also advises clients on technology transactions, IT procurement, software development, outsourcing, research collaboration agreements, and data protection documentation and policies.

Ryan holds an LL.B from the National University of Singapore (2022) and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2023.

He is a member of the Law Society of Singapore and the Singapore Academy of Law.
