Sherman Ho

Sherman Ho is a Partner at Shook Lin & Bok LLP, specialising in arbitration and mediation, commercial litigation, and insolvency and restructuring. He acts for local and foreign banks, individuals, liquidators, and judicial managers, representing them at all levels of the Singapore Courts as well as in arbitrations.

Sherman has acted for the commodities trading arm of an India‑headquartered conglomerate in a multi‑party dispute involving liability under letters of indemnity; successfully defended a local bank in a claim for alleged mis‑selling of financial products; acted for a major bank in a claim in excess of S$3 million for alleged mis‑selling; advised judicial managers and liquidators of companies in the oil and gas industry; and acted for a bank against a company in the trading of physical oil and gas for a sum in excess of USD 19 million. He also has experience in crypto‑related disputes, having acted for individuals against crypto platforms for the recovery of crypto assets, and has represented accused persons in criminal matters under the Penal Code, Misuse of Drugs Act, Prevention of Corruption Act, and Protection from Harassment Act.

Sherman holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Leeds (2012) and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2014. He is Chairperson of the Law Society Social & Welfare Committee and regularly volunteers with the Law Society's Criminal Legal Aid Scheme. He is recommended in Dispute Resolution by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific (2024).
