Siow Ying Yi

Siow Ying Yi is a Partner at Shook Lin & Bok LLP, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital, and corporate and commercial law. She advises on corporate and corporate finance matters, including M&A, venture capital and private equity investments, joint ventures, and general corporate transactions, and is also a member of the firm's Korea Desk.

Ying Yi has acted as transaction counsel to a joint venture company backed by a global alternative investment firm on its acquisition of a leading distribution group; as Singapore counsel to ZircoDATA on its acquisition of Shred-it; and as Singapore counsel to Korn Ferry on its acquisition of leadership development companies from TwentyEighty, Inc. She has also advised on numerous venture capital and private equity transactions, including advising Intudo Ventures on financing rounds for JALA, iSeller, Populix, Nalagenetics, and Suryanesia, advising RushOwl on its US$10 million Series A financing, and acting as Singapore counsel to Softbank Vision Fund on Klook's US$425 million Series D+ financing. She has also advised on IPOs and listings on Catalist, including for Southern Alliance Mining Ltd, United Global Limited, and Eindec Corporation Limited.

Ying Yi holds an LL.B and a BCom from The University of Western Australia, where she was a recipient of the St Catherine's College Scholarship and the UWA Undergraduate Learning & Teaching Research Intern Scholarship. She was called to the Singapore Bar in 2015 and admitted as a Solicitor in Western Australia in 2018. She has been recommended in Start‑Up and Venture Capital by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific (2023–2024).
