TIAN Sion Yoong

Tian Sion Yoong is a Partner in the Financial Services Regulatory, Derivatives & Structured Products, and FinTech Practices, specialising in Fintech Law. He advises financial institutions on regulatory licensing and compliance matters, and has deep expertise in blockchain, digital assets, AI, and emerging technologies in finance. He also handles the transactional and regulatory aspects of derivatives and structured products, including ISDA documentation and structured finance transactions.

He has advised on licensing and regulatory requirements for banks, securities and derivatives dealers, fund managers, financial advisers, and financial market infrastructures, as well as for FinTech providers, blockchain platforms, cryptocurrency exchanges, dApp and DeFi projects, tokenisation projects, and issuers of stablecoins and NFTs. In the derivatives space, he has assisted corporates and regulated entities with ISDA master agreements and credit support documentation. He also has experience with bond issuances, structured note programmes, and securitisations, and previously worked as in-house counsel at a major investment bank supporting FX, rates and credit trading businesses.

Tian Sion Yoong holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore and is admitted to the Singapore Bar.
