Catherine Lim

Catherine Lim is a Partner at Shook Lin & Bok LLP, specialising in capital markets law, investment funds, and asset and wealth management. She has a particular focus on REITs and investment funds, advising on transactions through the lifecycle of a REIT, including initial public offerings, financings, cross‑border acquisitions and divestments, and mergers.

Catherine has advised Perpetual (Asia) Limited as trustee in the IPO of Centurion Accommodation REIT, the first purpose‑built accommodation REIT listed on the SGX, which raised approximately S$770 million; DBS Trustee Limited as trustee of Mapletree Commercial Trust in the S$4.2 billion merger with Mapletree North Asia Commercial Trust; HSBC Institutional Trust Services (Singapore) Limited as trustee of AIMS APAC REIT in the establishment of a S$750 million multicurrency debt issuance programme; and a leading Singapore real estate investment company on joint venture investments in India business parks and commercial properties. She also advises on the establishment of VCC funds, tokenised funds, and security token offerings, and has acted for financial institutions on licence applications and ongoing regulatory compliance issues.

Catherine holds an LL.B (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (2014) and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2015. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.

She has been recommended by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific for Investment Funds and is described by IFLR1000 as "very client‑centric, practical and commercial advice" and "very responsive".
