Christine Fong

Christine Fong is Counsel at A&O Shearman in Singapore, focusing on Mergers and Acquisitions. She has over 10 years’ experience advising on M&A, joint ventures and restructurings across the APAC region, with a particular focus on cross-border transactions involving Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Myanmar.

Christine has experience across a wide range of industry sectors, with a focus on telecommunications, digital infrastructure, and the financial and insurance sectors.

She has been on secondment with the Corporate team in the firm’s London office, as well as on client secondment to Allianz, a global insurance and financial services provider.

Her expertise covers corporate and M&A, insurance, and M&A, joint ventures and corporate reorganisations. She has also advised ANDE (Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs) on impact investing in South East Asia, and non-profit organisations and social enterprises in South Asia through Empact’s baSEcamp training programme.

She is recognised as a key lawyer by the Legal 500 Asia-Pacific Guide (2024). She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the National University of Singapore and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2014. She is a member of the Singapore Academy of Law and speaks English.
