Dato FOONG Chee Meng

Dato' Foong Chee Meng is the Managing Partner of Foong & Partners, a member of WPG, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial law, and foreign investment advisory. He leads the firm's Corporate & Commercial and Foreign Investment practice groups, advising clients on complex cross‑border transactions and corporate structuring.

Dato' Foong started his legal career in 1989 as a solicitor with an international law firm in Sydney, Australia, where he practised for over three years. He was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1993 and joined a prominent Malaysian legal firm, becoming a partner in 1996, where he led the Corporate & Commercial and Foreign Investment practice groups for seven years before establishing Foong & Partners.

Dato' Foong holds a Bachelor of Economics, an LL.B (Hons), and an LL.M from the University of Sydney, Australia. He is admitted to practise in New South Wales, Australia (1989) and Malaysia (1993).
