Janice Ngeow

Janice Ngeow is a Senior Partner in Dentons Rodyk's Finance practice group, and serves as Head of Asset-based Finance and Co-Head of Islamic Finance, specialising in Banking and Finance Law. Her practice encompasses asset-based and acquisition finance for local and foreign banks and institutional lenders in domestic and cross-border structured financings, including sale-and-leaseback, finance leases and syndicated facilities with a focus on offshore oil and gas assets, ships and aircraft.

Janice also advises on international trade, shipping, trade financing, sanctions compliance and structured trade finance, including receivables-backed financing and warehouse receipt financing. She has acted on numerous high-value transactions, including a US$230 million financing for a jack-up drilling rig commissioned to Petronas, a US$100 million syndicated loan for two jack-up drilling rigs, and a US$250 million expansion financing for a Myanmar port concession owner. She also advised on a US$150 million facility for the construction of nine vessels and has extensive experience in Islamic finance and aviation finance.

Janice holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore.

She is recognised as a Leading Individual for Shipping: Domestic: Finance by Chambers Asia-Pacific and Chambers Global (2021–2026), and as a Recommended Lawyer in Banking and Finance and Shipping by The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific.
