John Dick

John Dick is a Consultant in Dentons Rodyk's Finance practice group, specialising in Infrastructure Law. He has practised as an international lawyer in South East Asia for over 30 years, with a focus on foreign investment into ASEAN countries, particularly Indonesia and Vietnam, with an emphasis on Energy, Resources and Infrastructure.

John has been involved in the development of infrastructure projects throughout Asia, including government and private project development (PPP, PFI, BOT and BOOT), waste-to-energy projects, water desalination and purification projects, road and rail projects, port development and telecom projects. In the energy sector, he has advised on upstream oil and gas projects, captive and IPP power projects, and power purchase agreements. He has also been involved in some of the largest mining transactions in Indonesia, advising on mining rights, joint ventures, financing and offtake agreements.

John holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Jurisprudence and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia. He is a past president and life member of both AustCham Singapore and AusCham Vietnam, and currently serves as Honorary Treasurer of AustCham ASEAN.
