Lim Lei Theng is a Partner and Head of the Firm's Knowledge Management Department and Pro Bono programme at Allen & Gledhill, specialising in arbitration and mediation, dispute resolution, and legal education. She is a pioneer in the practice of mediation in Singapore, having launched the first Negotiation Workshop at NUS in 1994 and the first Mediation Workshop in 1995, and was among the first to be appointed to the Panel of the Singapore Mediation Centre in 1997. She also serves on the panels of the Singapore International Mediation Centre, the Energy Market Authority, and MOHH Healthcare Mediation Scheme, and mediates actively in a wide range of disputes in English and Mandarin.

Prior to joining the firm, Lei Theng was an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law of the National University of Singapore for 28 years, focusing on legal skills education. She spearheaded the development of clinical legal education in Singapore, was appointed Deputy Director of the Legal Skills Programme in 2003, and was founding Co-Director of the NUS Centre for Pro Bono & Clinical Legal Education in 2017. She has developed numerous innovative and sustainable pro bono opportunities providing high-quality legal services to individuals, families, communities, and charities.

Lei Theng holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School. She was called to the Singapore Bar in 1998.
