Marilyn See

Marilyn See is a Partner at Shook Lin & Bok LLP, specialising in banking and finance law and debt capital markets. She has a strong focus on DCM, advising arrangers and issuers on standalone issues, MTN, CD and debt issuance programmes, private placements, and securitisation across a range of asset classes including consumer loans, commercial property, residential mortgages, and residential property.

Marilyn has acted as legal counsel to Sabana Real Estate Investment Management on the issue of S$100 million sustainability-linked guaranteed bonds unconditionally guaranteed by the Credit Guarantee and Investment Facility; to DBS Bank Ltd and United Overseas Bank Limited on the establishment of the S$1 billion notes programme by Perpetual (Asia) Limited as trustee of Boustead Industrial Fund; and to Changi Airport Group on the update of its S$2 billion Multicurrency Medium Term Note Programme and subsequent issuances. She also advised Aspial Corporation on its exchange offer and debt issuance programme, CapitaLand Retail China Trust on its debt issuance programme, and acted on the first post-Lehman condominium securitisation deal in Singapore. In the banking space, she has advised on the first sustainability-linked loan in Asia's real estate sector for CapitaLand, the acquisition of Shanghai's tallest twin towers for a joint venture of CapitaLand and GIC, and various cross-border financing transactions.

Marilyn holds an LL.B (Hons) (1995) and an LL.M (2000) from the National University of Singapore. She was called to the Singapore Bar in 2000 and previously spent close to two years on secondment with the DCM team of a magic circle firm in Tokyo.
