Melvin See

Melvin See is a Senior Partner in Dentons Rodyk's Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group and Co-Head of the International Arbitration practice. He advises clients on a wide range of civil and commercial matters, drawing from over 20 years of experience in litigation, international arbitration and mediation.

He has acted for state-owned entities, Fortune 500 companies, trustees and insolvency office holders, and also defends doctors facing disciplinary proceedings and healthcare institutions facing claims or regulatory investigations. Notable matters include acting in CVG v CVH, the first reported decision in Singapore confirming the enforceability of foreign emergency arbitral awards; acting for a Chinese state-owned entity in a SIAC arbitration seeking US$33 million from a Vietnamese state-owned entity; acting in a S$66 million ICC arbitration for a Chinese state-owned entity; and successfully representing a prominent plastic surgeon in securing a complete acquittal of all charges brought by the Singapore Medical Council. He has also advised on corporate fraud investigations, shareholder disputes, and regulatory investigations by the Commercial Affairs Department and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Melvin holds an LL.B (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (2001), an Asia Pacific Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (2020), and an International Air Law Diploma (with Distinction) from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Training & Development Institute (2025).

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), a Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI) Certified Mediator, and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Professional Conduct Council. He was awarded the Public Service Medal (Pingat Bakti Masyarakat) in the National Day Awards 2020.
