NG Wai King

Ng Wai King is the Chairman and Senior Partner of WongPartnership, specialising in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and private equity. He is widely recognised as a leading M&A and Private Equity lawyer in Chambers Global, Chambers Asia‑Pacific, The Legal 500, Who's Who Legal, IFLR1000, and asialaw. He is described as "one of the best M&A lawyers in Singapore" for being "very sharp, commercial and very user‑friendly," and as an "invaluable adviser to have on your side."

He currently serves as a director on the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the Board of Trustees of the National University of Singapore, and the Senate of the Academy of Law. He has also served as an independent director of the Singapore Exchange and a director of the Singapore Institute of Directors. He was one of 10 winners of the Financial Times: Asia‑Pacific Innovative Lawyers Outstanding Individuals Awards 2016.

He holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore, where he was awarded the AV Winslow Prize, and an LL.M. from Columbia University School of Law, where he graduated as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He is admitted to the Singapore Bar.
