Shahin Foroughian

Shahin Foroughian is a Partner and a corporate lawyer based in Singapore. His primary practice area is Mergers and Acquisitions, and he specialises in complex cross-border M&A deals (particularly around Southeast Asia) and Warranty and Indemnity (W&I) insurance.

Having spent a significant portion of his career in Singapore, he has worked on and successfully executed deals in numerous sectors (including financial services and energy and utilities) across all of Southeast Asia and the wider region.

This experience has provided him with intimate knowledge of the region's many unique traits and complexities when it comes to getting deals done, and he enjoys leveraging that to help guide clients and financial advisors through to closing, whether it is an acquisition, disposal, auction, joint venture, strategic alliance, or helping W&I underwriters vet deals they are keen to insure.

He has lived and worked in New Zealand, London and Singapore in both in-house and private practice roles. His time as an in-house lawyer gave him invaluable experience in what it is like to be a client and taught him the importance of being efficient, commercial and good at problem-solving. His time in private practice has allowed him to further develop these skills and taught him the value of being a proactive project manager. His work has been recognised by the Legal 500 directory.
