Tan Wei Shyan

Tan Wei Shyan is a Director in the Corporate & Finance practice at Drew & Napier, specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions. His practice encompasses corporate finance and securities transactions, including initial public offerings on major exchanges, dual/secondary listings, spin‑offs, strategic and pre‑IPO investments, and fund‑raising exercises, as well as public and private M&A, corporate restructuring, privatisations, reverse takeovers, and management buyouts.

Wei Shyan has advised on numerous significant transactions, including acting as legal adviser to the Sponsor, Financial Adviser, and Placement Agent on the reverse takeover of 3Cnergy Limited via the acquisition of British hospitality assets valued at approximately S$443.8 million and raising gross proceeds of S$69.3 million; acting for Spindex Industries Limited as Offeree in a privatisation by Scheme of Arrangement valued at over S$41 million; acting for the Joint Issue Managers on the IPO and listing of Aztech Global Ltd. raising gross proceeds of approximately S$297 million; acting as Singapore Counsel to 5E Resources Limited on its Catalist IPO; and acting for the issuer, Fortress Minerals Limited, on its Catalist IPO—the first iron ore miner listed on the SGX‑ST. He also advises emerging enterprises, start‑ups, and entrepreneurs on joint ventures, fund‑raising, and regulatory compliance.

He holds an LL.B (Hons) (First Class) from the University of Exeter and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in May 2003.
