Wong Gang

Wong Gang is a Partner at Shook Lin & Bok LLP, specialising in capital markets law, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. He advises on initial public offerings, secondary listings, cross‑border dual listings, rights issues, and the issuance of securities by companies from Singapore, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Bermuda, and other jurisdictions.

Wong Gang has acted as issuer counsel for the listing of Yangzijiang Financial Holdings on the Main Board of the Singapore Exchange with a market cap of S$4.3 billion; as Singapore legal counsel to Singapore Food Holdings Limited on its IPO on the GEM of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange; and as Singapore counsel to CMON Limited on its transfer of listing from GEM to the Main Board of the Hong Kong Exchange. He has also advised on the privatisation of China Auto Electronics Group for approximately S$216 million, the privatisation of XinRen Aluminum Holdings for approximately S$782 million, and the voluntary delisting of China XLX Fertiliser Ltd from the SGX while retaining its Hong Kong listing. He has acted for Tsingshan Holding Group on a joint venture to develop the Weda Bay Nickel deposit in Indonesia and for the Vendor on the disposal of a 40% stake in Robert Parker Wine Advocate to Michelin.

Wong Gang holds an LL.B (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (1995) and was called to the Singapore Bar in 1996. He is a member of the Ministry of Law's Advisory Committee for the China‑Ready Programme for Singapore's Legal Industry.

He has been recognised as a Highly Regarded Individual in Corporate and M&A by IFLR1000 (2018–2025), a Recommended Individual in Capital Markets by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific (2025–2026), and has been ranked in Capital Markets by Chambers Asia‑Pacific and Chambers Global (2011–2018).
