Lawyer Profile

Martin See is a Partner in Dentons Rodyk's Dispute Resolution Practice, specialising in Dispute Resolution. His practice focuses on high-stakes commercial disputes involving agency, contract, trust and equity, unjust enrichment, fraud, fiduciary duties, corporate governance and joint ventures. He represents multinational corporations, state-owned enterprises, financial institutions, investment stakeholders and high-net-worth individuals across banking, commodities, construction, financial services, logistics, gaming, real estate, technology and telecommunications.

Martin has litigated matters before the Singapore Courts, including in one of the highest-value disputes in Singapore's litigation history, and has acted in international arbitrations under major arbitral institutions. Notable cases include successfully defending PNG Sustainable Development Program Ltd in the Singapore Court of Appeal against claims by the Independent State of Papua New Guinea for control of assets worth over US$1.4 billion, and acting successfully for Sinohydro Corp Ltd in resisting claims involving S$9 million in adjudication determinations. He was appointed as a young amicus curiae for a Magistrate's Appeal heard by the Chief Justice, who commended his submissions as "extremely helpful" and "carefully researched." He also undertook a secondment with Dentons' international arbitration team in London.

Martin graduated with First Class Honours in law from the National University of Singapore, winning subject prizes for Corporate Governance and Intellectual Property Law, the best memorial prize for an arbitration moot, and the SILE Prize for Cross-Border Transactions. He contributed to the publication of two leading textbooks on contract law in Singapore.

He is recognised as a Future Star by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific (2025–2026), one of Singapore's Rising Stars by Asian Legal Business (2024), and one of Singapore's Most Notable Lawyers under 40 by Singapore Business Review (2024). He also received the Special Volunteer Award (COVID-19) in 2022 for his appointment by the Minister for Law to adjudicate COVID-19-related disputes.
